Joint public portfolio steering committee collects the threads

A joint public portfolio steering committee with participants from all over the country gathers the threads in the national dissemination of telemedicine for patients with COPD.

The joint public portfolio steering committee is in charge of monitoring progress and results for the national dissemination of telemedicine for patients with COPD. The regions and municipals are responsible for the practical implementation of the dissemination, organized in five regional programs.

Municipals and regions in charge

The joint public portfolio steering committee is colloquially called the joint public steering committee and the chairmanship has a both regional and municipally touch. Group managing director in Central Denmark Region, Christian Boel, is chairman and Dorrit Guttman, health manager in Vordingborg municipal is vice chairman.

Aside from the chairmanship, the joint public steering committee has a municipal and regional representative from each of the five regional programs, representatives from Danish Regions, Local government Denmark and government representatives from the Ministry of Health and the Danish Agency for Digitisation.

Keep an eye on best practice

The joint public steering committee will, among other things, make sure that knowledge and best practices are shared across the five regional programs. One of the tasks of the joint public steering committee is to discus and recommend possible solutions, if problems with progress occur within the regional programs.

Besides from that, the joint public steering committee decides whether there is need for new joint projects across the regional programs. The joint public steering committee also initiates and debates the yearly reviews of the work done in the regional programs. In this way, the joint public steering committee can continuously follow the strategic objectives in the programs.

The joint public steering committee is served by the joint public secretariat containing employees from Danish Regions, Local Government Denmark, the Ministry of Health and the Danish Agency for Digitisation. The secretariat is placed in the Danish Agency for Digitisation.
