Nationwide campaign about Digital Post

The Agency of Digitisation conducted a nationwide and common public sector campaign on Digital Post, aimed at the individual. The campaign ran from 18 August 2014 - 31 January 2015.

The campaign informed the public about Digital Post, underlining that it is important to remember to read your Digital Post. Also, the campaign informed about the possibilities for exemption from Digital Post. 

The campaign was divided into two phases: 

  1. Prior to the transition to Digital Post: i.e. 18 August - 31 October 2014 
  2. After the transition to Digital Post: i.e. 1 November 2014 - 31 January 2015.  

Campaign initiatives

The campaign was built around the following initiatives:

  • A PR initiative, communicating about Digital Post via editorial comments in the media. 
  • A national mass-media initiative, involving centrally produced web banners, advertisements for print media, postcards, campaign film for TV, outdoor posters etc. that public authorities can use for free. 
  • Network and public authority initiatives preparing municipal service centres, libraries, hospitals, etc. so that they can guide and advise the citizens. The authorities have already received information materials, or they can freely obtain them from the campaign website: borger.dk/kampagne. 
  • A Digital Post event on 1 November 2014, which has put sharp focus on the transition. The event was held at the Post & Tele Museum in Copenhagen, where the winners of the municipal competition were announced and a school class was awarded the ’Digital greetings to the future’ prize. The digital greetings are now in a time capsule at the Post & Tele Museum.
  • A municipal competition in which, in the period 9 September to 24 October, half of all municipalities in Denmark vied to have the most citizens registered for Digital Post before 1 November. Winners were honoured in three categories: ‘Denmark’s most digital municipality’, ‘Denmark’s digital goal scorer’, and ‘Denmark’s most digital young people’.
  • A special youth initiative that included in a Facebook campaign held between 19 September and 31 October 2014 to encourage young people (ages 15-24) to register for Digital Post.
